Passeig de Pere III: the commercial and cultural axis of Manresa
Passeig de Pere III is much more than a street: it is an emblematic axis that reflects the urban, social and architectural evolution of Manresa.

With its 1,070 meters of length, the Passeig de Pere III extends from the Plaça de Sant Domènec to the Vic road. Built in the 19th century coinciding with the expansion of the city beyond the medieval walls, this marked a before and after in the urban configuration of Manresa.
The first section, inaugurated in 1891, quickly became a symbol of prestige and modernity. The industrial bourgeoisie of Manresa erected elegant modernist and noucentist buildings that still mark the urban landscape today: the Casino de Manresa, one of the most emblematic buildings of the time, which was a social and cultural meeting place. Other outstanding buildings such as the Casa Lluvià or the Casal Regionalista contribute to the charm of this.
One of the most representative elements of the promenade is the Kursaal, an emblematic building of the city's modernist architecture. Inaugurated in 1928, the Kursaal was a cultural center of great influence in Manresa and a key place for the social life of the local bourgeoisie. Today, the Kursaal continues to be a prominent space for culture and the arts, with a large-capacity auditorium and a leading theater.
The promenade also stands out for its functional and social character. Together with Carrer Àngel Guimerà, it forms the city's main commercial axis, with shops, terraces and meeting spaces. Its configuration, with trees, small gardens and fountains, invites you to stroll along it and enjoy its urban beauty.

A living scene between heritage and modernity
The Passeig de Pere III is a living testament to the transformation of Manresa from the 19th century to the present day. Modernist and Noucentist architecture coexists with newer buildings and an urban landscape that combines public space, urban greenery and commercial life.
It is also a symbolic space, where art, historical memory and citizen activity come together.
