Vive Manresa, explora el Bages

The Rice Festival is a celebration that preserves the spirit of solidarity that gave rise to this tradition. In the past, the villagers would prepare a meal for strangers and those in need before the start of Lent. Today, this popular festival has evolved, but it still maintains the essence of its history.

Every year, more than 3,000 people gather to enjoy a large rice paella, prepared by local chefs dressed in traditional costumes. The festival is a great opportunity to enjoy local cuisine, camaraderie and the warmth of the village, keeping alive a custom that unites generations.
